12 Month Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme on Forensic Learning Disability 

RADiANT host a 12 month programme of educational sessions, available online for those interested in forensic learning disability and autism.

Dr John Devapriam from Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health & Care Trust (part of the RADiANT network) chaired the fifth CPD session, which included talks from Dr Phil Temple (Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust) and Dr Priyanka Tharian (East London Foundation NHS Trust) on the topic of dynamic risk assessment. The talks were followed by a lively discussion within a panel session including practitioners and researchers working within forensic intellectual disability settings, Vicki Malcolm, Joanne Bishop and Verity Chester. For our third session, we received a talk from Prof John Taylor, from Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust, alongside Dr Phil Temple from Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, on the topic of anger and aggression among people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Session 2: Sexual Offending
For our second session, we had a presentation from an excellent guest speaker, Prof Glynis Murphy from the Tizard Centre, University of Kent, as well as Prof Regi Alexander and Dr Phil Temple from Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, on the topic of sexual offending of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Session 1: Fire Setting
In the first session, Prof Regi Alexander, Dr Ignatius Gunaratna and Dr Phil Temple virtually presented on aspects of fire setting in people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including the background literature, assessment, and treatment, using illustrative case studies.
