- The three Tier 1/2 modules comprise three sessions per module, with nine sessions in total. These three tier 1/2 modules are each divided into one universal session followed by two more specialised sessions. All sessions are open to all users. These three modules provide an introduction to challenging behaviour and positive behavioural support, mental health problems amongst people with learning disabilities, and advice and guidance about supporting people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Finally, there is one Tier 2 module, comprising five e-learning sessions. They cover important health and mental health related topics. This module is aimed at professional Tier 2 health and care staff. Tier 2 level refers to staff in health and care services whose job involves any care, support and interventions for people with learning disability. The five sessions cover epilepsy, physical health care, transitions to adult mental health care from children’s-young people’s services, psychosis, bipolar and depressive disorders in young people.
- All the sessions across this programme (19 e-learning sessions) were written by professional author/s partnered by a non-specialist co-author, typically a parent or carer with expert lived experience in these areas.
