Men with learning disabilities and harmful sexual behaviour are often arrested and tried. These men frequently end up in secure hospital services, detained under the mental health act where they can be stuck for years.
In 2021, NIHR (HTA stream) agreed to fund a cluster-randomised controlled trial of SOTSEC-ID treatment, the HaSB-IDD trial.
