Meeting the trauma needs of people with intellectual disabilities

People with intellectual disabilities are significantly more likely to be exposed to trauma and adversity across the lifespan, yet they are significantly under represented in trauma frameworks, services and innovations. This event brings together national and international experts to offer a clinically focused programme to inform our understanding of the trauma needs and treatment approaches for this population. National Autism Training Programme For Psychiatrists

Health Education England (HEE) launched a National Autism Training Programme for Psychiatrists in March 2023. The programme was delivered through the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The RADiANT convenor, Prof Regi Alexander was the course director.
