Royal Society of Medicine - Improving epilepsy treatment in people with intellectual disability 

​A number of RADiANT members are involved with the upcoming Royal Society of Medicine conference, which will be held on Tuesday 17th November 2020 from 10:00am to 4:15pm. For more information and to register, click here.

A quarter of people with intellectual disability have epilepsy and a third of people with epilepsy have intellectual disability. In spite of such a significant overlap, the two conditions are rarely managed holistically. During this session, participants can expect to:
  • Know the diagnostic and treatment challenges epilepsy poses to people with intellectual disability
  • Know the current concerns for people with intellectual disability and epilepsy and their families
  • Demonstrate what best practice looks for people with Intellectual Disability and epilepsy using 'Step Together'

Royal College of Psychiatrists International Congress 2021
